ImageAmp 1.0 Released – View Images in Winamp
07/26/2009 02:24 pm | GeneralI finally got around to polishing up and releasing the Winamp plugin I started several years ago. Version 1.0 is now available, along with source code if there are still any Winamp developers out there. Check out the ImageAmp page for more info.

Hi Jason, 17 March 2010
I stumbled across your ImageAmp Winamp Plugin.
Great work. It functions well and I like its
simplicity.
My only suggestion for improvement is a function
disabling the “Image Display Time”. Might I
suggest using “0″ seconds to keep the image
displayed indefinitely until the Next or Previous
or Stop functions are used? Of course, the seeker
bar would also need to be disabled, and both
playtime and timer would be shown as “0:00″.
Branimir Lambov’s Winamp TV Tuner plugin uses
such an arrangement and internet radio is similar
except the timer is shown.
Thanks

Hi again Jason, 21 March 2010
A few more observations regarding your ImageAmp
Winamp Plugin.
Out of curiosity I tried using “-1″ for the “Image
Display Time”. This resulted in the timer displaying
the “Time elapsed”, the seeker bar being disabled
and the playtime being left blank (not 0:00).
Interesting… and at least closer to what I’m
looking for
I also noticed the image filename WITH the extension
is being displayed in the Playlist. I have Winamp
configured to OMIT the file extension, and ImageAmp
is the only plugin which does not adhere to this
configuration.
In the “Open file(s)” and “Add file(s) to playlist”
“Files of type” dialog, you have this list:
JPEG Image File (should this be JPG ?)
JPEG Image File
BMP Image File
GIF Image File
PNG Image File
ICO Icon File
TIF Image File
TIFF Image File
This is arrangement is NOT consistent with other
plugin file type listings, which would be:
Image Files (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.BMP;*.GIF;*.PNG;*.ICO;*.TIF;*.TIFF)
Thanks again,
Lloyd
